Changing Lives Through Quality Education in Rural Nepal
Every child deserves not just access to education—but the chance to thrive in a classroom that inspires learning, confidence, and hope. Thanks to the compassion of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, Tsering’s Fund is ensuring that children in Nepal receive more than an education—they receive opportunity.
Because of your support, Tsering’s Fund is investing in the quality and impact of teaching at our partner schools. With your help, we’re funding teacher salaries, providing essential classroom supplies and sports equipment, and connecting local educators with peers from around the world. These efforts are transforming rural classrooms into vibrant spaces where students can dream bigger and achieve more.
This past October, in the Himalayan foothills village of Melamchi Ghyang, 35 eager children gathered in a small classroom for a morning of learning and laughter. There, volunteers Catherine Spiers and Jinty Williamson, retired educators from the UK, led joyful English lessons filled with songs, games, and smiles. With the support of the students’ teacher, they demonstrated how creativity and play can spark understanding and confidence in young learners.

Catherine first became involved with Tsering’s Fund in 2019 when she began sponsoring a student. Since then, she and Jinty have returned to Nepal three times to volunteer—each visit deepening their connection to the children, families, and teachers they serve.
“Tsering’s Fund is giving families the chance to send their kids to school, and that really matters in rural parts of this special country,” Catherine shared. “The access they’re providing is important, but the quality of schooling and the spirit of these students are truly inspiring.”
“What’s happening here is working for the kids,” added Jinty. “They’re independent, respectful, and full of joy. Schools like Melamchi Ghyang, the teachers we meet, and Tsering’s Fund—together—are changing lives for the better.”

Your generosity fuels this change. Each gift helps us strengthen education while also addressing the barriers that keep children—especially girls—out of school. By combining access to learning with support for health, nutrition, and family stability, Tsering’s Fund is breaking cycles of poverty, early marriage, and trafficking.

Every volunteer, every sponsor, every donor is part of this story. Together, we’re not only opening classroom doors—we’re building a brighter, more equitable future for children in Nepal.
