A New Chapter for Tsering’s Fund: Transitioning from Happy Home to Expanded Educational Support

At Tsering’s Fund, our mission has always been rooted in ensuring that children in Nepal have access to quality education and the opportunity to build brighter futures. For many years, this has included our sponsorship of Happy Home Orphanage, a place where countless children have been nurtured, educated, and empowered to grow.

After thoughtful reflection and ongoing conversations with the leadership at Happy Home, we have made the decision to conclude our sponsorship there during the summer of 2025.

This was not a decision made lightly. Happy Home has been a cherished partner, and we are proud of the supportive environment that has been built through our collaboration. Most importantly, we want to reassure our sponsors and donors: Happy Home is in a strong position, with other committed funders and resources in place to continue caring for the children who call it home. Every child currently sponsored through Tsering’s Fund at Happy Home will continue to be supported and care for.

Why This Shift Matters

Over the past year, we have witnessed a powerful milestone across the schools we support in Nepal: many of our students are completing Class 10 and preparing to take their next big step into college or vocational training programs.

This exciting progress brings new challenges. Tuition, housing, textbooks, and essential tools like laptops and smartphones are all significant expenses—costs that are far greater than what was required during their earlier school years. To meet this growing need, Tsering’s Fund is shifting more of our focus and resources toward helping these students succeed in their higher education journeys.
