From Founder to Advocate: The Early Days
Dr. Schmieding’s involvement with Tsering’s Fund began at the very start. As the founder and board president, he helped bring to life an idea born from love — the belief that every child in Nepal deserves access to education and hope for a brighter future. In those early days, when resources were limited and challenges felt vast, Peter stepped forward with heart and determination. He helped set the tone for what Tsering’s Fund would become: a community of supporters who believe in the power education.

Recently, Dr. Schmieding transitioned to the role of Past President — a role that reflects not only his years of service but the enduring influence he continues to have on our work. While titles may shift, Peter’s presence remains an integral part of our community.
