A Safer Future for Students at Shree Bhanjyang Primary School

At Tseringʻs Fund, we believe that education should happen in safe, supportive environments where children can focus on learning and building a brighter future. In rural Nepal, even small infrastructure improvements can make an enormous difference in student safety and well-being.

One recent example comes from Shree Bhanjyang Primary School, where a long-awaited safety guard rail has now been installed on the second floor of the school building.

A Project Years in the Making

For the past two years, the school community worked tirelessly to complete their building. However, progress stalled due to government funding challenges and administrative delays. School leaders repeatedly raised safety concerns about the unfinished second-floor area, but budget approvals and municipal action remained slow.

Without a protective railing, the second floor posed a significant safety risk for students and staff.

A Visit That Sparked Action

In October 2025, representatives from Tsering’s Fund visited the school and met with local leaders and municipal officials to better understand the obstacles. During these conversations, the urgency of completing the safety railing was emphasized, and collaboration with local government partners helped move the project forward.

Shortly after these discussions, funding was arranged and construction resumed.

Gratitude from the School Community

We recently received a heartfelt message from the school:

“For the past two years, we have been continuously working to complete our school building. We spoke many times with government officials, but the construction stalled. However, as soon as Tseringʻs Fund became involved, the budget was arranged, and now the school has been beautifully completed. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your care and love toward our school.”

Today, the completed guard rail ensures that students can move safely throughout the building, giving teachers and families peace of mind.

Why Safety Matters

Safe infrastructure is foundational to education. When children feel secure in their learning environment, they are better able to attend school regularly, concentrate on their studies, and thrive academically and socially.

This project is a reminder that meaningful change often comes through partnership — between local communities, government officials, and organizations working together toward a common goal.

Moving Forward Together

Tsering’s Fund remains committed to supporting schools across Nepal by addressing urgent needs that directly impact students’ safety, access to education, and long-term opportunity.

Because of compassionate supporters and community collaboration, children at Shree Bhanjyang Primary School can now learn in a safer environment — and continue building brighter futures.

Thank you for helping make this possible.
